The Protectli USB Console Cable is compatible with the FW2B, FW4B, and all 6-Port Vaults. The COM port of the Vault is a redirection of a TTY output. This allows the Vault to be controlled by a serial communication program such as PuTTY on Windows. It eliminates the need for a separate monitor to get into the BIOS, or while installing/utilizing an operating system (OS), as long as the OS supports a serial connection. The COM cable has a USB-A 2.0 male connector on one end and an RJ-45 connector on the other.
